About White Mountain Science, Inc.
Started in 2013, White Mountain Science, Inc. strives to excite kids and teachers with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) knowledge and skills and give them rich opportunities to grow as creative problem solvers. WMSI (pronounced whimsy) has offices and runs camp programs in Bethlehem, NH. Otherwise, WMSI delivers programs to students and teachers throughout northern New Hampshire.
Our Mission

At WMSI we strive to excite kids and teachers about STEM knowledge and skills and help them grow as creative problem solvers.
White Mountain Science develops and delivers STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs for students in school and out of school settings; for teachers through our professional development programs; and for school systems, universities, and STEM education organizations through our consulting efforts. Highlight programs include our summer camp and after school offerings in Bethlehem, NH; co-teaching a STEM class at the Profile school; the NCES Transforming North Country STEM Instruction teacher PD program; consulting with Tufts University for online engineering graduate programs for teachers; and consulting with LEGO Education’s global office in Billund, Denmark.

Our Staff
Executive Director: William Church
Bill Church received his BS in Physics from Binghamton University in 1992. He received his MAT in Curriculum and Instruction from Cornell in 1997. He received his MS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University in 2014. A former high school Physics teacher, Bill has worked in and with public schools for over twenty years. His passion is for supporting learning through projects. Through his career, Bill has collaborated on many educational projects and programs with a wide range of local, regional, and national schools, organizations and businesses including NH SAU 35, NH SAU 84, North County Educational Services, New Hampshire Science Teachers Association, Plymouth State University, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation's Christa McAuliffe program; Tufts Center for Engineering Education and Outreach, Lemelson MIT's InvenTeams, iCreate to Educate, Sparkfun Electronics, LEGO Education, and National Instruments.
Jeannie Leone: Bookkeeper and more!
Jeannie has a extremely diverse background and skill set derived from her career in business, human resources, and accounting. She has served many organizations in the north country including the Forest Service, Mount Washington Auto Road, Attitash, and Meadowstone Farm.
Jeremy Knowlton: WMSI Mobile STEM Lab lead instructor
Jeremy received his BS degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. After graduating college he worked two years for the Appalachian Mountain Club’s A Mountain Classroom and Teen Wilderness adventures, where he led school groups on educational trips focusing on topics such as Geology, Ecology, and Leadership. Jeremy is passionate about education and empowering students to learn and explore using creative methods. During his off time he enjoys trail running, hiking, and rock climbing in the playground that is the White Mountain National Forest.
Marc Bucchieri: WMSI's Instructor-Developer Corps (IDC) coordinator
Marc graduated from Tufts University in 2016, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering an minored in Music. Since then he has worked for Outward Bound in central Oregon and Naturalists at Large in California, teaching students natural science as well as character development and technical outdoor skills. He loves exploring the intersection of engineering and outdoor adventure, whether this means using problem-solving techniques in a dicey weather situation or bringing the serenity of the mountains to an engineering task. He enjoys rock climbing, whitewater rafting, backpacking, and playing music with friends around a campfire.

Former Staff
Youth Director and Content Developer Aaron Goldman graduated from Champlain College in 2014 with a degree in Game Design. Aaron launched our afterschool program and served as director and lead instructor for our summer camp program from January 2014-August 2016.
